NYC CHANCELLOR MANDATES BLACK AND HISPANIC PRIORITY ADM
NYC Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza is pushing 78 schools to extend priority admission to black and Hispanic students. The plan also calls for elimination of academic-based criteria at 16 middle schools, with 52 percent of seats reserved for low-income, English-learning, and homeless students.
